If the Necto Sensor detects a temperature or humidity outside the preset parameters, or power is lost, it will immediately send a message to our servers via the cellular network. Following this data transmission, you’ll instantly receive text and email notifications, providing you with peace of mind even when you're not home.

Does Necto require an existing cell phone contract?

Necto comes with a built-in SIM card, eliminating the need for users to sign up with a separate cell phone company. This SIM card is pre-installed and activated, ready to connect to the cellular network right out of the box

How often is data updated on the dashboard?

Every 10 minutes the temperature and humidity readings are updated on the user portal. Each reading is stored on our servers for 1 year, and can be downloaded to view anytime as a csv file.

Which cellular network does Necto operate over?

Necto’s built-in 4G LTE SIM card can connect to multiple carriers including AT&T, T-Mobile, and Cellular One. 

Are there really no monthly fees?

Yes! Necto includes 2 years of cellular service. Each additional year you can renew the service for only $29.99. This revolutionary data plan is made possible through negotiated contracts with cellular carriers and advanced technology to minimize data usage.

How do I activate my device?

First create an account on the online user portal. Then, add the device using the ID on the back of it. In order to add the device it must first be powered on.

Can I add multiple contacts to receive alerts?

You can add up to 5 email addresses and phone numbers to receive unlimited text/email notifications if critical changes in temperature, humidity, or power status occur.
