Does Necto require an existing cell phone contract

Necto devices come with a built-in SIM card, eliminating the need for users to sign up with a separate cell phone company. This SIM card is pre-installed and activated, ready to connect to the cellular network right out of the box

Are there installation requirements?

The device must be placed in range of a cellular signal. A web browser is then needed to activate the device. An existing cell phone plan is NOT required.

Are there really no monthly fees?

Yes! Necto includes 2 years of cellular service. Each additional year you can renew the service for only $29.99. This revolutionary data plan is made possible through negotiated contracts with cellular carriers and advanced technology to minimize data usage.

How often is data updated on the dashboard?

Every 10 minutes the temperature and humidity readings are updated on the user portal. Each reading is stored on our servers for 1 year, and can be downloaded to view anytime as a csv file.

Which cellular network does Necto operate over?

The built-in sim card can connect to AT&T, T-Mobile, and Cellular One 4G LTE networks. It will automatically connects to the closest one.

Can I add multiple contacts to receive alerts?

You can add up to 5 email addresses and phone numbers to receive unlimited text/email notifications if critical changes in temperature, humidity, or power status occur.
